Default Groundbreaking Energy Ball Wind Turbine for Home

Swedish energy design company Home Energy recently announced a new prototype that could potentially change the way the world looks at wind in the years to come. Using a unique, proprietary design, the Energy Ball utilizes the Venturi Effect in combination with a design that allows air to flow inside of the device itself, as opposed to simply going through it, to improve the look, efficiency, and simplicity of a tool that will be instrumental in the world’s shift to more sustainable and renewable forms of energy.

Just a shame there isn't an English version. Does look very pretty, though. I think I want one.

I read about this design before. The idea is very innovative.

What are the chances of getting planning permission for one of these strapped on your house in a UK town?

Won't know until you try it! I don't see why it should be such a huge issue, really. They're much less obvious than 30ft towers in a back garden.

Yeah but then I will know I'm 5 grand(or what ever exorbitant price the commercialised green industry put on an actuated coil with blades attached, these days) out of pocket.

Out of interest: Does anyone know the specific UK planning law for wind devices on terraced properties?
