Default Methane saturation of Ocean Waters

The latest scare was not regarding Global Climate Change due to trapped CO2 in the Atmosphere and Ocean Waters.
Instead it was the Methane saturation of Ocean Waters and Atmosphere due to the melting of Arctic permafrost.
New Pathway For Methane Production In The Oceans Discovered
Now scientists have revealed that they have found a new pathway for Methane Production in the Oceans.
Oceanographers will be excited because it offers a solution to the long standing methane paradox.
Microbiologists will be excited because it shows an aerobic production pathway of methane, which goes against everything that is currently known about methane. Climatologists will be interested because it's a potent greenhouse gas that we don't have constraints on, and this new pathway is very exciting.

Aerobic methane production? Might have applications in industry.

Default Methane production for Industry

At a Geological Lecture Series it was mentioned that scientists are researching capturing Methane from the Arctic Meltoff for Fuel.
However I believe that this particular News is regarding 'if we can find out how to produce Methane, we can also find out how to reduce Methane in our Environment".
or break the cycle.
Does that make sense?

Thanks for that linkie William, its fascinating stuff,I must delve into the subject in detail. But it also shows up the danger of the co2 myth as we have only barely scratched at the mysteries of our oceans.
