Default We Dump Old Subway Cars into the Atlantic, and it's Good

Who would have thought that subway cars on the ocean floor would encourage fish to congregate? Rather than abandon the structures, fish are moving in at such a rate that the program is trying to provide more cars. What's more, the program is also facing competition from other states after its impressive success.

Artificial reefs are useful where damage has been caused to the local ecology.Old ships are great for this and soon become colonised by all sorts of marine life. Even old logs become homes for worms and clams. Most things except plastic bloody bags seem to be of use in the ocean.

An even older one Rog,and sorry I do not have a link, was using old tires as homes for sea-animals.It may have been as far back as the '50s when some amateur divers notice that lobsters did not stay in the same spot but moved constantly along the coast. They noticed that the migrants used anything they could find as temporary shelter and so placed some tires on the sea bottom and then went back to pick up a few nice dinners when the lobsters booked in for the evening.Since then a lot of scientific research has been done.
