environment/waste/recycling facts

hi all,

does anybody happen to know sites, blogs,... where i can find facts on the environment/waste/ recycling etc.

E.g. If you drive a hybrid car that gets at least 46 MPG, you save about 3660 pounds of CO2 emissions a year

some facts in this context would be very usefull to me; as I am a student and i need to create an awareness campaign.

May I,in all modesty,say that you have found such a site. Spend a few happy and blissful hours reading all the posts here and soon...why, you will be a walking encyclopedia of all things environmental.

but i was especially looking for those "if you do xxx then you save xxx" facts
i was aware that i was on an environmental site/forum...

There are certainly quite a few uk-based ones, but the only one that springs to mind is wastewatch (i'm short of time but if you do a quick web search you should find it) - you should be able to get a cascade of links going by following their "useful links", then the useful links from the sites you get to that way, etc. etc.

I'd steer clear of blogs though, and stick to well-known organisations.
