Solar Energy Forum I have no doubt that we will be successful in harnessing the sun's energy.... If sunbeams were weapons of war, we would have had solar energy centuries ago. ~Sir George Porter

Default Anyone out there really Using solar?

I'm Looking for some feedback from people with practical experience using solar (PV) in any application. I have used it for small off-grid uses, but am interested in expanding our uses for powering our office and home.

Lets see how many of you have actually gotten your feet wet......

Hi TomTech:

I've been using solar for 11 years now in my guest cabins. Gotta love it! I'm also in the process of putting almost exclusively solar into the "barn" (which I'm renovating to make a useful structure). I'm stumbling a bit on the initial capital cost, but can likely start small and add on. I'm working on the "starting" part . . ..
