Interesting ideas on solar energy
I just saw this while stumbling through the web and thought I should share it.

Hiya rootbeer,
How about posting a bit of an introduction to yourself in the 'Introduce Yourself' section? We get alot of people stopping by here making one or two posts about a project they are trying to promote (even if they don't admit it at first) then they disappear. It's generally considered as spamming here, no matter how interesting the project is. If you want to join up properly and take part in some of the other discussions as well, you'd be more than welcome and people would probably be more interested in discussing the website you've found.

I could not see that it was anything spam related. Its not unusual to get a small advertisement with video posts before the main video starts, but the actual topic content was I thought worthy of posting. Feel free to take a look around the forums and share your experiences and observations.

I didn't mean to make it look as if I were spamming, it's just that I got very excited about a few of his ideas because they make so much sense if I were to implement them into my own house (Which I may do!)
Anyhow, I like rootbeer and I really don't have much to say about myself, so thats why I didn't bother posting in the "Introduce Yourself" section...

Sorry but I didn't get the videos at all, there was no reason why they couldn't put there clothes on a clothes line and not use a drier at all (it was a clear fine day and they live in the country)
The hot water system amounted to laying some black pipes on a black matt (on a boiling hot day) it looked horrible and cost $100
I like home built energy saving projects but I think these two ideas are not terrible refined or cutting edge enough for me.
Sorry if I sound grumpy

Well I'm sure there is a reason why they use a dryer generally, though you might not think the reason has merit. ( certainly not on the day the video was made ) It's good to see people thinking about saving energy though, even if some of the ideas never take off.
