Finally its time to praise China's massive efforts to host beijing olympics... LEEDS have done it... Beijing receivies LEEDS Gold Award for its Olympic Village...

Still looks pretty murky there whenever they show it on tv, although I guess the cyclists managed to get around without complaining about the air quality so maybe it's not all that bad.

China has confirmed something that most people in Beijing for the Olympics already suspected - the city's air quality has been good.

Environmental officials say pollution levels have met expected standards on every day of the Olympics so far.

Yes, I've been keeping an eye on the BBC daily readings. But what happens after the Olympics?
