Hey Jesmina
I have two cats, both black and white.
Holly has short hair and is 17 years old. We have lived together since she was 6 weeks old. My friend found her and her brother abandoned at the side of a road in a cardboard box, and asked me if I would take one of them so I took holly and my friend looked after the other kitten.
Jijo is long-haired and is 6 1/2 years old. He has lived with us since he was about 7months old. He was found, as a stray, wandering the streets of Weston-Super-Mare. A town about 20miles from here. The RSPCA took him in and cleaned him up. When we went to the kennels to get a 'rescue' cat, he came to the front of his cage to greet us. He chose us to go home with. When we told the RSPCA that he was the one they asked if we would leave him at the kennels until he had been checked by the vet because at the time they thought he was a she and that she was pregnant! Anyway it turned out that he was infact a boy and we changed his name from Jenny (the name they had given him) to Jijo. He is frightened of his own shadow and dislikes strangers. I think he had a very rough time before we met him.
They get on with each other OK, although Jijo always wants to play and be near Holly but Holly doesn't like that much and makes sure he knows it. Having said that, they do protect each other from the cat that lives up the lane and they gang up on him too.
