guided tour in a nuclear power plant with unbelievable facts?

Today our class were in a nuclear power plant

We got a guided tour and it was very interesting, but the tour was sorely nuclear well off. He talked a lot about the security system and how great it is

Next week somebody will talk about the negativ aspects of nuclear power.

Today I am very nuclear positive

The guy in the power plant tells us that uranium can made from the water in the sea. In the next few years Japan will be able to use this technic.

If this fact is real nuclear power will be an unlimited energy source.


After a while we talked about the waste and he told us that with a technic called "electron bombardment technic" (i dont know the exactly name) the waste can brought neutral (no harm for the enviroment).

These two facts are fascinating.

The sea water issue is, in that they can extract uranium from sea. Critics claim that it takes greater energy to extract it than it produces, but if it is placed in areas with enough current, then the energy for pumping would not be needed, and the energy extracted would then be transportable, and be able to use on demand.
