Default Most polluting films

Going away from Green Films - what films do you think show the most irresponsible behaviour towards green issues?

I've done a blog on Bond - he's very not Green - anyone got anymore?

What is James Bond’s carbon footprint? | Recycle Blog

Top Gun's a good one!

How about Independnce Day? Surely the fall out from all those cities being blown out would've been fairly substantial!!

Bond has prevented numerous nuclear weapons being used (Thunderball, Goldfinger, Spy Who Loved Me, Octopussy, Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough, etc.). And Never Say Never Again, which doesn't really count.

Promoted solar power (The Man With the Golden Gun), and used a sailing ship at the end.

Used public transport (trains)

Prevented two space based lasers from coursing a great deal of damage (Diamonds Are Forever, and Die Another Day)

Prevented oil pollution (View to a Kill, and I think the World is Not Enough also).

Although as you say, he's used plenty of fast cars, planes, and helicoptors. But in caparison is a small impact.

Prevented World War 3 in You Only Live Twice (although there was a volcanic eruption).

Meanwhile, Independence Day - the heroes actually used a nuclear weapon, after the aliens trashed half the planet. Added to the vomit that no doubt was produced by much of the audience, it was a most un-green film.

Well if we are talking in films, well the Matrix was a totally dead planet except for artificial life on the surface, and a just warm core left supporting the last of the rebel humans who weren't living in some kind of gooey battery.

I don't think any movie goes beyond that.

For real life, I was going to say The Beach, but the latest news from googling say it was false, the claims of destruction of forests and coral reefs around Phi Phi.

But I did find this article:
