I'm not meaning any disrespect to you, Greenrewards, but I dont think you've properly understood this thread.
You seem to be describing August's opinion as laughable, or at least someone in this thread, when the opinion stated is actually contained in an article from an external source.
Forgive me if you were replying in general to the article.
Also, i'd like to comment on your opinion. Sure, environmental causes and gatherings usually consist of national representatives discussing the issues we face, but I think that we should never laugh at the idea of achieving something huge and beneficial. Even though accomplishing a feat such as getting almost everybody on the planet to start taking actions against climate change and other problems may seem daunting, surely the it would be more than worth the hardwork and perservirence required.
It's not impossible, it's just difficult. Having forums like this one make it a lot less difficult, so long as we all work towards a common goal
