We had some really great threads last year, with the following four nominated for the Thread of the Year award in this January's Environment Site Awards ceremony.
Thank you, I noticed you also post using your name rather than a screen name. I always thought that gave more credibility to any statement. As for the issues, I have been debating some of them for 15 years or so now. I was originally on the Envirolink site, which was primarily an environmental forum for some years. It was converted to a dual animal rights/environmental forum several years ago and many of the environmentalists drifted off to other areas. Karl has posted on the enivornmental side there in the past. I was a moderator for several years until there were some ethical issues and I started looking for another location. I found this place. I have not seen anything that would be any worse than I have seen in the past. I discussed Constitutional law with Libertarians on the ABC Boards for a couple of years and those discussions can really get wild. That and the ARAs can really take things personally, especially those in the UK for some reason. I look forward to getting back up to speed, but it does seem odd to not have thousands of posts accredited to my discussion where I can drop back to a prior post if need be.
I love what you have posted. I respect the fact that you use your real name, and are speaking about issues rather than engaging in name calling. You are obviously a real scientist. I hope you won't immediately get frustrated and decide that this website is a waste of your time. And don't take the bait when a**holes try to make it personal.
