The Minqin County of Gansu province, located in the joint of the Tengri Desert and the Badan Jara Desert, is one of the four major sand storm cradles of China. Xi’an Hong Feng Industry Co., Ltd plans to establish desert improvement test areas in 50 square kilometers desertified land of Minqin County, develop desert ecosystem protection and restoration career and deserticulture combined with sand protection under the support and approval of the local government.

1. The brif of Minqin County
The Minqin County is located in the joint of the Desert of Tengri and the Badan Jara Desert which is an oasis of desert with total population of 307,100. It is flat with the total area of 15,900 square kilometers among the Gobi desert and the Salina accounted for 94.5%. It is drought and shortage of water that the annual rainfall is only 110 mm while the evaporation is as high as 2646mm. It is full of sunshine that the annual sunshine here is 3028 hours. It is windy and sandy that the ecology here is fragile.The average annual temperature of the Minqin County is 7.7℃ while the day and night temperature difference is 15.2℃. The annual fresh gale (grade is 27.8 days and the annual sandstorm is 37.3 days.

2. The preliminary ideas of Desert ecosystem protection and development planning
1). comprehensive developmental and utilized area of desert
We will carry out facility construction related with the development of decerticulture and develop the corresponding work about desert greening, use artificial method or water-saving drip irrigation technique to restore desert vegetation and develop high efficiency and low consumption deserticulture.(Such as building material factory with non-burnt brick, tourist reception Center, sand sculpting garden, innovative design garden of environment protection architectural)

2).The Desert Tour area
We will provide desert tourism services such as picnic, sand sinking, hiking, motor rally etc, and develop cultural tourism, desert tourism and eco-tourism on basis of the Qingtu Lake as well as our company’s ecosystem restoration and protection area.

3).The Desert Lake area
We plan to store the shallow groundwater on the ground surface to form an artificial lake through anti-seepage treatment technology so as to supply the culture of water for ecotourism and develop livestock breeding.
