If you want to power your house from 12Vdc probably caravan/boat/leisure outlets may be your best bet. But bear in mind that, if your source is a 12V battery, it needs to be high capacity to give you power for a decent length of time. An average car battery would give you around 1kW for perhaps 30 minutes.
Grid tied inverters are a whole different ball game. None of them are cheap.
