I have the giggles. It means, I had this cause in terms of changing the state of the environment both on a local and a global level, and I was being very enthusiastic about that, I was even being angry and I ran into fits: now I've come to conclude that I can only resort to sarcasm and irony, as my cause is officially lost.

Not so close. The nearest is over 100 miles away and the other 300 miles away.
That they all made the trip to visit us made it a bit of a special day.

Of course, we'll make the trips to see the new arrival when they arrive.
And that could be any day soon for the more imminent. Possibly tomorrow.

Then there is the back to back....


I hadn't noticed that the older, horizontal striped top, was a bit shorter.
Bragging rights obviously go to one imminent in the next few days.

Thank you kindly for your kind comments about my daughter and her daughter.
Had a the family come to see us yesterday - all my children, their partners, the little girl, and my sister.
My sweet wife arranged it as a birthday surprise for me.
And quite a surprise it was given that they all live quite a long way away.
And a really nice family day.

Even trying to be objective about it I can't help thinking she is a pretty little girl.
Her hair is strands of different colours with blonde at the font, darker at the back and bits of red mixed in. People might pay good money for that - but she has it naturally.
She looks all the part a lady...

But a funny incident. I'd walked with her to a local small park with a slide. She likes that. Up the steps and down the slide. She was at the top and about to start the descent when she let rip a huge fart.
"Where did that noise come from?" I asked.
Without the slightest change in expression:
"My bum."
And off she went down the slide.
