My nick derives from a position I once held as an autocratic operations manager for a rather large party. But in my chosen role as a jester, considered a symbolic twin to the king, a new meaning is born.

In many respects an opposite to a Sun King, rash rather than diplomatic, highly opinionated rather than reserved, stripped of authority save that provided by reason and self evident truth, and a rapier wit.

Ice Czar, I have been thinking about your ASS.

I notice in Robert's thread, he mentions other forms of employment, "Unfortunately, it will be more difficult to get the desperate small-scale gold miners to stop using it ... Perhaps if there were a better way for them to make a living".

This ties in very nicely with some of my studies in development theory. Would you mind if I used your ASS as a dumping ground? I could continue what I started with the thread I showed you the other day, and try to condense it into an easier learning format; dig out my old reading lists, that kind of thing. For example, I have a lot of good stuff on conflict diamonds, the history, the [non-environmental] effects.
