Ah, ha, I'm glad you mentioned it.

1. Most Japanese drink. Many drink every day, every single day.

2. Japan has one of the highest rate of smokers among adults among developed countries.

There are other interesting things about Japan that seem to contradict our common sense about longevity and health.
