Traceability can help....
Hello All,
Just joined - thanks for inviting me Adi.
I specialise in traceability. That is understanding where stuff comes from.
I am a firm believer that there would be much less pollution, goods shifting around the world, exploitation etc if everyone who produces anything had to provide "to source" traceability of every product they sell.
The good guys are starting to do it now. The bad guys never will. But those in the middle will gradually be forced to reveal what they are doing and be more accountable to us as consumers.
By asking more about the stuff we buy, we can make a difference.
For example I recently discovered that one of the largest makers of shampoo in this country uses GM ingredients. So we are buying GM without knowing it. Right here, right now. I'll reveal more about this in time.
Also 70% of US cotton is GM. Is the cotton you are wearing now GM free? None of us know....
I look forward to joining in.
Best regards
Simon
