Default I think I'm going to be spending lots of time here...

Hi everyone,

It's very possible that I've already made one of these posts when I (apparently) joined in April, but as that was the middle of exams it seems facts have pushed that information aside!

Hi, my name is Michael and I'm a Physics student at Imperial College in London. I'm rather interested in Environmental issues and plan a career as a consultant in the field I'm currently building a website on the topic (which apparently I can't post until I have posted more - fair enough!)

I hope to be very active on the forums if my degree permits, and I look forward to some good, meaty debates

Michael

Welcome to the Forum, Michael.

Maybe you can help in bringing some much-needed "physics" perspective - especially to the climate and energy forums - if your schedule permits.

In relation to posting your website, I think you would need at least three posts before you can include a link...

Regards,
Karl

Welcome to the forum!

You don't need a degree to be here, all you need is a love for nature.

Moreover there are lots of very knowledgeable members here. So I can assure you of meaty debates.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

I'm doing a generic Physics BSc at the moment - no real specialisation. Next year though I'd like to do a masters (MSc) degree in Environmental Technology, so basically I'd like to dip my toes in as many environmental ponds as I can (what a strange metaphor...)

I'll probably lurk for a while before getting too actively involved - everyone here seems to know an awful lot about the subject (unless they're trying to convince everyone they've invented cold fusion, or something )
