Hi all,
I know you're having problems logging in at the moment and I'm looking into it in as much spare time as I have :)
In the meantime, it seems that if you login as usual and then click on a forum link you will be logged in, even if at first you don't appear to be.

Joined for special reason
I've joined simply for the reason to disprove many myths, and perhaps persuade many of you that you have no idea what you are talking about. I have not even browsed the site but already know that 90% of these people have very little idea of what they are talking about and repeat things they heard on the news or in the paper. I will be providing you all with some scientific based, KNOWLEDGEABLE information, with which you may do what you please. I hate peta, and don't believe in the general definition of "global warming". You can try to debate with me but I will win =]
Before you start thinking I'm a huge asshole, I realize there are some problems in the world (i.e running out of natural resources) and there are some changes that need to be made, but using false information and facts to bring about change should not be done. For example, we SHOULD be searching for alternate energy sources, but NOT guilt tripping people into buying hybrid cars because they are "destroying the environment" if they drive a regular car. Hopefully the mods will permit some fair competition and allow me to challenge some people's thinking.

hi mikey980. welcome to the forums. trust me, you won't be the only one using scientific knowledge to try and convince people they are talking through their hats.
Personally I think that emotion plays a big part in how people view the world, an' that's a fact. and a scientifically based one. Have some fun...

I don't think that's a very scientific statement, saying you know about 90% of the content without examining it. Would you like to state the assumptions upon which you are basing it?

Why would we think you are a donkey-hole? If you mean bottom, you should spell it correctly. That's arse-hole then.
You're right though, I don't like you already. I probably won't bother reading your posts. Scientific evidence is essential but so is an ability to "win friends and influence people" (really must read that book sometime) and I WILL NOT BE PATRONISED TO!
My signature used to contain a quote from Taichii Ohno, who was a very smart man - saying that the average person is wrong 50% of the time. That applies to me, and to you too. It's just that I realise it
Welcome anyway though - I suppose...

I'm on board with Claire.
Scientific knowledge should be the backbone of any argument and not emotion as it tends to migrate to when environmental issues are involved.
However, I don't care if you hand calculated every statistic yourself, conducted every experiment, and tried every product you speak about. If you are a shi*head no one will listen.
I suggest canceling your account and signing up again with a new identity and trying a little more tact.

Mikey we've been there and have done that, our ignorance to your last thread in climate change is just because we have done it all before (shit I sound like Paradox). But to get us interested, get some real ammo
Popular Technology -> The Anti "Man-Made" Global Warming Resource
Is this enough ammo for you??
BRING IT ON!!!
