Default Hello from Kelowna, BC, Canada!

Hey everyone. I've never really been able to discuss environmental issues with anyone, but I've been trying my best to do my part. I'm eager to learn and see what I can do to make this world a better place. Good to see people care!

this place is great for when everyone around you either tries telling you about each article they hear on the TV about a wind farm or looks at you like your crazy when you say you don't do something because you think it's bad for the environment. Welcome to the forum

I'm not really connected with what's going on here in Kelowna. It doesn't seem to me like people are generally environmentally friendly, but I'm from Calgary so it's not much different. At least we have curbside recycling pickup. Where in BC are you screener?

mwcarl, I'm from golata creek, a little community halfway between fort st john and dawson creek on a little used backroad. needless to say there is all kinds of re-use recycle, and rebuild here but none of it is organized. Still we have other factors going on oil and gas, wells, pipelines, etc, Hydro wants to put another dam on the Peace River, lots to keep it interesting.
