James, I really don’t have much more to say about this. I haven’t read your thesis, so I don’t know how closely the published papers resemble what is in your thesis. If you have a beef about plagiarism, I suggest you take it up with Durham or the journals that published the papers. If it is the same as your thesis, there is surely a case for plagiarism. Bleating about it on an internet forum is going to do no good at all and may potentially lead the forum owner into a legal action.

Sorry CT JamesM went away as he knew he'd won.

As for legal action very unlikely, as such an action would only lead to the allegations being proved, allegedly : ). So no need to worry ADI ; ). Not the kind of publicity the institutions or industry would like GM being scientifically flawed and all. So my guess is JamesM can say anything he damn well wants and they can just sit and take it.

It may even raise awareness of the decryption work which would lead to even more uncomftable questions being asked. Luckily the books have no religious or prophetic meaning, Tolkien selling them after all, and in religious terms there is a very specific accusation for those that sell others out...

So save the threats it doesn't pay to threaten a man sitting on an academic thermo-nuclear warhead. If you want my advice I'd advise their entire system backs off JamesM and stops monitoring his communications, you really wouldn't want him to have a bad day...

To provide the evidence JamesM's thesis can be found at the British Library as follows.

Integrated Catalogue - Full View of Record

Papers publishing his work without requesting permission.

Putative protein digestion in a sap-sucking homopteran plant pest (rice brown plant hopper; Nilaparvata lugens: Delphacidae) identification of trypsin-like and cathepsin B-like proteases. Insect Biochem Mol Biol. 2002 Sep;32(9):967-78. (PCR primers and conditions).

Characterisation of cysteine proteinases responsible for digestive proteolysis in guts of larval western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera) by expression in the yeast Pichia pastoris. David P. Bown a, Hillary S. Wilkinson a, Maarten A.
Jongsma b and John A. Gatehouse. Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Volume 34, Issue 4, April 2004, Pages 305-320. (Section pertaining to proteinase localisation).

Just to add to the mix publishing his name in an article relating to a meeting in which he had no part.

Seven days cash or Daily Mail, he really doesn't care which. Wouldn't look good on the prospectus 'Come to us do brilliant work if we don't manage to f**k your career while your here, we'll steal your work, tail you with a little help from the Sith and send frothy mouthed lunatics after you for years.

Ps. it's not compensation it's backwages and she's not my wife.
