It looks like grain prices starting with corn are going up because of flooding in the corn belt in the USA, and drying crops in Australia. Here in Canada areas that are traditionally dry are being flooded, and wetter areas are going through the worst dry spell in decades.
World grain prices have been tumbling back down the steep slope they climbed early this year, but from Manila’s food stalls to London’s supermarkets, everyday consumers aren’t seeing it yet.
