Default Ethanol added to Gasoline

The Shell gas station 1 mile from my house in Palm Beach has a new sticker on the pumps.
It reads ' a minimum of 10% Ethanol has been added to the Gasoline.'
This does not appear to have adjusted the price per gallon however. $3.77 a gallon.
Sould we expect to see discounted prices for this mixture?
Is Florida just way over their heads with this Ethanol Addiction?
Does anyone else have this mixture of renewable and fossil fuels available?

I'm in Indiana and they have been saying we are supposed to be having an ethanol addition but unless they don't have to state it anywhere we haven't yet. Although we should since we are the corn capital of the US. I can pull over to the side of almost any road near my home and make my own ethanol .

I figure with the cost of ethanol production and combining it gasoline you won't see much of a price different.

Default Ethanol added to Gasoline

Hold on just a moment. Ethanol fans. The program started in April 2008.
This morning WPTV in West Palm Beach reports that 27+ cars are not operating properly due to dirty gasoline pumps at two stations that offer this mix.
12 cars are in the Shop at Ed Morse Honda with fuel system problems.

I pumped 8 gallons of this mix into my Prius, I hope I do not feel the effects.

Many people around here are seeing significant mileage impacts with E10, on the order of 10-15% poorer fuel economy. So lets see, you replace 10% of the gas with ethanol, and get 10% poorer fuel economy....so you burn as much gas as ever, add in the environmental impact associated with ethanol production, and increase cost pressures on food products. Only a government mandate could be this screwed up. Oh yeah, you also give ethanol producers huge tax breaks and subsidies costing the tax payer even more money, and reducing the tax income for the government.

At the least, it should be mandatory that any pumps running diluted gasoline should be so marked.
