It was a few years ago at Glastobury Festival. Some random bloke just told my mate that his bag (he had a carebears rucksack on) was invited to their bear's wedding. Told them the time and it was in the 'church' they have there. So they all went to it, as they had nothing better to do, out of curiosity.

Apparently all of the assistants were dressed in kinky nun's outfits. Both bears were held up by respective owners (presumably). The 'priest/vicar/ went through the ceremony and when it came to hte 'do you take this bear...' bit the person holding the bear pulled a string at the back of the bears neck and it said 'I love you'. The 'priest/vicar' person then did a whole television evangalist style speach about how the bear could talk and it was a miracle.

I wasn't invited either

P.S. I wont even consider hugging a tree unless I'm guaranteed permission to keep ALL of my clothes on

also i absolutelly must find the vid for this event from what you are telling me its golden! If i do i'm so publishing it on my website although it will ruin the credability and any hope of establishing an academic community link - but screw it it will be worth it!!

I dont THINK there was a video, it was a few years ago now, before all of the home video and youtube craze. If I hear of anything I'll let you know.

Why should it exclude the academic comunity? Scientists can have senses of humour and need some r and r time, same as anyone else.

It doesn't exclude it, but when initially introducing it our exposure will be to roughly 57'000 profs world wide. and i mean if they see a care bear wedding they might be discouraged since the feel to them should be abit more proffesional - as the website is supposed to link faculties world wide.

But if i find a vid like that there will be nothing that i can do to prevent myself from posting it
