Default Asia Pollution May Boost U.S. Temperatures

Smog, soot and other particles like the kind often seen hanging over Beijing add to global warming and may raise summer temperatures in the American heartland by three degrees in about 50 years, says a new federal science report released Thursday.

It seems like more of bush lover's statement. He would publish anything to pressurise India and China, signup Kyoto...

Default not even close on the facts

Where on earth did you hear that soot, etc., causes warming? It is exactly the opposite. Global dimming, caused by sun-blocking aerosols, prevents incoming solar radiation from reaching the ground, where it would generate heat. It is holding back at least half the warming we would have experienced otherwise.

I better read the link before I criticize, but I just can't believe that any "federal science report" would have concluded something that flies so completely in the face of what has been pretty well established
