Default New Flash- Massive Wind spill headed to mainland USA

News Flash- Massive wind spill caused by TS Fay.

Last week as Tropical Storm FAY passed over Florida a massive Wind Spill was recorded. Some Floridians cited 60-70 mile an hour sustained winds for over 2 hours.
“It was so windy, it became unsafe to drive a Prius,” noted William Founder of EarthRehab.
No attempt was made to capture any of this lost Energy as the storm system headed west.
“Now we are left with this Solar crisis, as UV Index is to top 12 today in Palm Beach County coupled with more gusty winds.” Exclaimed William.

As more storm systems line up in the Gulf Stream future Wind Spills are eminent.
If we could capture some of this power, it wouldn’t just spill into the Environment.

I'm not positive but I suspect that William Djubin is referring to the condition in a Hydro-electric plant where there turns out to be more water behind the dam then can be run through the generators. Water is put over the spillway and is therefore wasted to generation. He must be suggesting that Florida could do with some wind generators.

I think it was a wry and quite witty comment on wasted natural resources.

Talking Wind spill then, Solar spill now

You are correct Besoeker.
it was simply a witty comment on wasted natural resources.
If we viewed wasted opportunities to capture Energy like we view wasted fuel from Oil Spills/Wreckage heck that would be Front Page/Headline News.

The Prius however is a story in itself, these cars struggle with a 40 mph crosswind and I would not drive mine in Tropical Storm conditions.
