Due to the difficulty in getting hard reliable data form an incredible complicated planet most responsible scientists have had to hold back on publishing research as the data available just could not be used to write credible papers that would stand up to scientific scrutiny [not the politically inspired "peer reviewing" and "circular citation" as practiced by the IPCC ]
Pretty right. Actually AGW has almost divided entire human population in 2 parts. Followers and Deniers.

Good point, I have even heard that at times world have had much higher CO2 concentrations than it has today, during pretty cold times that can be compared to ICE Age.

The ice core showed the Northern Hemisphere briefly emerged from the last ice age some 14,700 years ago with a 22-degree-Fahrenheit spike in just 50 years, then plunged back into icy conditions before abruptly warming again about 11,700 years ago. Startlingly, the Greenland ice core evidence showed that a massive "reorganization" of atmospheric circulation in the Northern Hemisphere coincided with each temperature spurt, with each reorganization taking just one or two years, said the study authors.

I expect this massive reorganisation of circulation means it could get quite a bit wetter and windier at times? So we are likely to see even worse floods, storms, etc.

As for 55 million years ago, when the sun was not as bright as it is today, and temperatures were much warmer (and not just coincidentally I guess, when CO2 was at 1000ppm) we have no idea what the conditions were like for any animals living then. They could be have been as disastrous for them as they will be for us. Is it really worth the risk? Of course it is not many of us that will have to live with the risk, so maybe it is if you are selfish.
