I expect this massive reorganisation of circulation means it could get quite a bit wetter and windier at times? So we are likely to see even worse floods, storms, etc.
As for 55 million years ago, when the sun was not as bright as it is today, and temperatures were much warmer (and not just coincidentally I guess, when CO2 was at 1000ppm) we have no idea what the conditions were like for any animals living then. They could be have been as disastrous for them as they will be for us. Is it really worth the risk? Of course it is not many of us that will have to live with the risk, so maybe it is if you are selfish.
