Organic Food isn't grown in Poop

Posted 6th-May-2011 at 04:55 PM by donnyprater

This morning, I found myself at Wal-Mart picking up a few items for the family. The list included laundry detergent, vitamins, and fresh fruit. I grabbed two bags of organics and headed to the checkout aisle.

The lady ringing up my purchases slid the bag of organic bananas across her scanner and said, “These bananas come in...

Are less people going green?

Posted 13th-January-2011 at 12:38 AM by amye (All Green: The Blog)

I do some blogging for my company, All Green Electronics Recycling. I post about electronics recycling, the company, and the environment in general.

Today I came across a poll that claimed that Americans were less green in 2010 than in 2009. Why is this the case? And more importantly, why would anyone claim to not care about the future of the planet?

You can check out my blog post here, if you'd like.

Solar energy on the scale of...

This is a story for everyone who says that recycling and reuse cost too much and aren’t worth the effort, and for everyone who has to deal with those folks.
Newton is a suburban city, population about 85,000, less than ten miles from downtown Boston. When the City opened a new high school in August 2010, it reused and donated locally as much furniture as possible from the old school, but was still left with more than 4,000 items of surplus furniture and equipment that needed to go away. Most...

Recycling is good, but is it the answer?

Posted 15th-November-2010 at 11:16 PM by EcoBlogger

A lot of us are recycling more than ever before but is this recycling craze encouraging us to consume more instead of reducing or reusing?

We've all heard the 3Rs slogan "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" and most are recycling like never before. Let’s face it, those who are “Aware” feel good about dropping that coffee cup or that water bottle in a recycle bin rather than the trash can. It's just the right thing to do.

The point of recycling has to do with understanding...
