Environmental effects of wind energy

    • What are the environmental effects of using wind energy? Well, wind power does not need any fuel for its operation! Just use the wind, natural source to generate wind power. What about emissions due to operation of wind power? Unlike some other sources, wind power operation does not pollute the environment with carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, mercury, or any other type of air pollution. It is environmental friendly!

Is Science Under Attack?

There seems to be a view from America - I'm thinking in particular, Chris Mooney's new book, - that the former administration has somehow distorted and manipulated scientific funding. Presumably, this somehow has implications for the global... something.

Isn't what Mooney is describing exactly what a ruling political party is supposed to do: determine what it considers to be effective use of money, and make sure the money gets there? The more efficient the government is at achieving...
