My efforts have been towards improving forest health and condition on my property, cleaning up dead, downed trees, planting new ones and clearing excess brush. The deer seem to like it, as soon as I clear a trail I find a lot of deer tracks on it. Also seeing a fair amount of bear kaka on my trails, and some moose tracks.
We have several cats...they have a negative impact on the rodent and bird population. On the other hand, coyotes ocassionally take a cat, so I guess all's fair in the end.
