I don't know enough about other countries' ecosystems so maybe that's true in reinforests but woodland here in the UK has a very strong renationahip with human activity, due to us being a small island in which there is not a single bit of land that has not been touched by humans. in this country, deer especially do not have any major preditors (other than humans) and they can do considerable damage to growing trees. it is pretty much universally recognised amongst conservationists that deer populations must not be allowed to exceed certain sizes if the forest is to regenerate naturally. There are strict guidelines on population sizes and controls but it does benefit the woodland as well and providing some food and resources for humans. That is why I asked my question.
