What's Wrong with the Sun? (Nothing)
So in three more months (if conditions persist) we will have passed a threshold. I think this article has a 'fluff' factor. They imply Solar Cycle 24 has begun, the real story is the behavior of the Sun and how a 'false-start' to solar cycle 24 seems to be what occurred...especially considering its current state. I think it is well within reason to scrutinize what is going on with the sun right now. A great deal of research has been done which substantiates weak solar activity well into the future.

My money is on a continued retreat of solar activity. My reasoning for believing this is the 5200 year event Lonnie Thompson has documented. IMO, it has returned...and right on schedule.
As with anything related to this topic, time will tell.
