The question I would like to ask both of you is - when do you think oil supplies/accessibility are going to start causing serious changes to the status quo? Because it seems like all you are differing on is timescales, to me?
Peter, I haven't seen you around so welcome to the forum. Please may I be so rude as to ask you what it is you do - you mentioned looking for copper resources which piqued my interest - and how you came to be interested in oilout and on what you are basing your predictions (or maybe I should look on your webpage - lazy girl!). I guess from that you can tell I'm looking to assess the validity of your story, but hopefully in a polite way! For what it's worth on first reading I thought the key points of what you are saying seem logical, and no, it's not a new thought for me (I also like people who can disagree politely - especially with my good friend forfi and his mum

). The critical question for me is, as I said, timescales.
From a purely personal angle I wonder if you can help me with something I've been wrestling with - I heard someone say in a presentation that there is more copper in use in New York than remains to be mined as ore in the world as we know it. Do you know if this is true and if so, do you know a source I can quote? I've been trying to track it down for some time and would be very grateful if you can help!
