If you were to check the FPL (one of the largest power groups in the US) careers page you would find that they are hiring for Wind Experts, lots of jobs for Wind Farming.
This is where I disagree with the solution, customers of FPL should be allowed to participate with the Wind Energy Solutions and FPL and the US Dept of Energy should "foot the bill' and finally apply your properties 'production' vs. your Electricity Bill.
Oh, my feelings are the same for Solar Wind Farming.

When I surfed the YouTube Videos I was impressed by the examples that individuals are currently applying to their situations to come 'off the Grid'.
