But you don't have the same atmosphere as with live gigs. You miss out on the excitment of discussing possible song line ups with you mates in the pub before hand, the pre gig drinks, the feeling of being surrounded by hundreds of other people all singing along to your favourite songs, the joy when the band's enjoying themselves enough to and do the odd extra like a new version of something, or a cover, or tell a story or something, then the exhausted journey home where everyone's smiling but too tired to say much and the day after meet up where you relive the night before.

I'd rather give up the electricity used to play stuff at home than give up the electrickery used to see a band live.

I'm not trying to say that Thom Yorke is a paragon of virtue or anything, I just love the music and think that anyone that's going to portray themselves as all eco friendly etc should come onto the forum and prove their credentials.
