greener is on a distinguished road
Default

I've started some green beans, some tomatoes, and some peppers. I wish had a yard so I could grow a lot more, I can't wait to buy a house with a yard and grow my own fruits and vegetables. I'm also going to try and buy more locally grown foods at farmers markets and such, you can only buy so much local produce here in canada being that we cant grow crops all year round cuz of the snow. I imagine that the produce they have at the local markets here in the winter must be from warmer climate far from us. I've considered growing my own vegetables all year round in my house under lighting, but thought that if I did this I might be contributing to more unneeded energy consumption. I've been reading alot about genetically altered produce and I'm really worried about what I'm ingesting when I buy produce that isn't organic, or even when it is organic, it may still be genetically altered but just grown organically, man it's scary, you have to have a high level of awareness these days. Thanks for the tips on the stickys.
