The suns energy drives everything. The fossil fuel we burn is stored energy from the sun. Warming at night is caused by the nightly release of latent energy stored in our crust. This one is a no brainer and I wonder why you are actually defending this position as something intuitive. GLOBAL WARMING THEORY IS REFUTED. Get over it. Pretend to the subjects but give us a break.
