I tried persuading some of my male friends to go to a ceilidh because the ones organised by the university society always has loads more lasses than lads, so they would at least be guaranteed the chance to dance with a lass. They still wouldn't come. I dont think it'll be any easier to persuade them to switch electricity companies or go on demonstrations for the purposes of getting girlfriends .
